When I was growing up my parents always told me to find something I was passionate about and shape a career out of that. But as a child and pre-teen I never really understood what it meant to be passionate about something. As I got older, I started to understand more and more about being passionate.
Having passion for something means something different to different people. Personally, I’ve realized that I have a passion for books. All types of books. I applaud those who can create a story so intense that I find myself crying or laughing out loud. There have been books that have grown with an entire generation. So many good books float around and it becomes normal to know the story and abnormal to not know.
So ask yourself: “What is my passion?” Mine is reading, writing, and all things literary.
